In a previous study, we have found eight Pseudomonas aeruginosa strains from 30 donkeys which all were identified as MDR strains and carried qnrVC1 gene[3]. The emergence of these strains indicates that we are confronted with a challenging situation in the treatment of endometritis in donkeys. Meanwhile, nowadays donkeys are raised mainly as food animals in China, which means a possibility of qnrVC1 to transfer to human by MGEs. Therefore, based on both clinical and one-health perspectives, this study used comparative genomic approaches to investigated the phylogenetic relationship of isolated P. aeruginosa strains and the genetic context of one of them with a special focus on qnrVC1 gene.
