Data Sols from the Terra Occitania project

[logo, feder and partners](https://www.openig.org/sites/default/files/inline-images/vignette.png) The Terra Occitania project bringing together [Atos](https://atos.net/fr/), project leader, [INRAE](https://www.brl.fr), [brle](https://www.brl.fr) and [OPenIG](https://www.brl.fr), co-financed by the [ERDF](s), aimed at developing a chain of old ad hoc soil data processing to develop soil maps to support the decision. Its study framework is the irrigated perimeter of BRL, on the coastal plain of Languedoc. This processing chain is based on a 4-step process allowing: * Semi-automated digitisation of old soil data * Qualification and harmonisation of these soil data in DoneSol format * Deployment of a statistical modelling soil mapping approach (CSMS) to map soil functional properties * Use of soil functional property maps in specific use cases. It emerged from the need, expressed by governments and communities, to have more detailed knowledge of the nature and variability of soils in order to inform their decisions on the territorial management of agriculture, the environment or urbanisation. Taking into account: * the age of soil data that have an archival character, * the uncertainty of the geo-referencing of profile sheets and surveys and uncertainty about the methods of analysis and description of the soil used during the drawing up of descriptive sheets, * possible transcript errors during the drawing up of descriptive sheets or during digitisation, BRL and BRL Exploitation are not able to guarantee the accuracy of the raw or developed data within the framework of the Terra Occitania project, and as such disclaim any responsibility for the use that will be made by the partners. The partners therefore undertake not to seek the responsibility of either BRL or BRL Exploitation for any use of this raw data.
