Objective: Metagenomic next-generation sequencing (mNGS) has been widely used in clinical practice to detect the etiology of infectious diseases. The positive rate of mNGS is closely related to the type of sample submitted. In this study, we aimed to analyze the clinical factors affecting the positive rate of mNGS in patients with spinal infection, select appropriate sample types for mNGS, and improve the etiological diagnosis rate of spinal infection.
