Environmental filtering in Carboniferous (late Mississippian–early Pennsylvanian) benthic faunas: trait-based evidence from postglacial successions of western Argentina

This data consists of an occurrence database of species (diversity.csv) recorded in two Late Mississippian-early Pennsylvanian stratigraphic units from the Argentine Precordillera: The Hoyada Verde and El Paso Formations. They have been studied in taxonomic and biostratigraphic aspects. Here we go beyond trying to understand the geographic distribution of the fauna based on the paleoecological structure of the assemblages. Therefore, we also include paleoecological traits (guilds_traits.csv) and guild classification (guilds_ID) used in our contribution.
