PLANNED BEHAVIOUR AND INVESTOR PARTICIPATION ON THE STOCK MARKET: THE MEDIATING ROLE OF NUDGING ON THE UGANDA SECURITIES EXCHANGE.

The purpose of the study is to investigate the mediating role of the concept of Nudging in the relationship between Planned Behaviour and Investor participation on the stock market. The study used a quantitative and cross-sectional research design using structured self-administered questionnaires with a five-point Likert scale. Data was obtained from 261 local investors from the Uganda Securities Exchange (USE) as unit of inquiry and USE as unit of analysis following a simple random sampling approach. The data was analysed using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS Ver.25).
