Transcriptome profiling of cynomolgus macaques throughout their lifespan

The cause of aging still remains unknown. The recent human aging studies tend to utilize cross-sectional data of different age group despite the different environmental confounding factors accumulated on them in the long aging process. Therefore, we investigated the eight healthy male cynomolgus macaques, the monkeys meticulously shielded from the factors except aging. The annual sampling was designed with two individuals in each four age groups.
