Bacterial dynamics in Acropora kenti spat with probiotic addition

This study aimed to determine the influence of individual probiotic candidates on the early microbiome of A. kenti spat, and potential effects of single bacterial inoculations on early coral growth and health. Using a controlled experimental system in 6-well plates, newly settled A. kenti spat were inoculated repeatedly with eight individual probiotic candidates, and microbiome and host responses assessed up to five days after the final inoculation.
