资源简介:
This study investigated the impact of burn injuries and non-burn excision injuries on the brain in a Murine model. The brain was analyzed three months post intervention for lipids and analytes on the tryoptophan pathway using mass spectrometry, and certain sections of the brain including the hippocmapus, the frontal cortex and the cerebellum were analyzed using High-Resolution Magic-Angle Spinning Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (HR-MAS NMR). There are three intervention groups that were analyzed which were the burn group that received a full thickness 7-8% total body surface area contact burn injury, an excision group which received an excision injury of the same size, and a sham group that underwent the same anesthesia and had the same analgesics as the other two groups but received no injury.
