Experimental_SotA membrane test UC4_WP5_T5.3_LENN

To allow comparison between GIANCE developed graphene oxide membrane to the performance of state-of-the-art membranes a baseline is required in terms of: Contaminant removal, permeate quality. For this further tests must be performed. This study aimed to evaluate the performance of industrial SotA UF membranes as part of WP5 Task 3 physical testing. The tests were conducted in LENN lab between November 2025 and June 2026 (still ongoing). The objective was to observe membrane behavior, specifically mechanical stability, permeability and contaminant rejection, under controlled laboratory conditions. For the experiments, the unit designed and built for GIANCE under WP4 was used in LENN laboratories next to other lab equipment for low crossflow testing. Furthermore, experiments with the pilot built under WP4 were conducted.
