Dictionary for data analytics and statistics

The Competency Dictionary for Data Analysis and Statistics contains the proficiency vocabulary for different areas of data analysis, probability theory and statistics, including mathematical statistics and government statistics. The definitions have been added to the terms that belong to the general education school program, but also to the basic vocabulary of state statistics and population statistics. As users of the dictionary, we expect students, government officials, journalists, researchers from various fields, as well as simultaneous translators. We hope that this will also be useful for machine translation. The glossary is being expanded, in particular by adding definitions of commonly used terms. The authors of the dictionary are Ene-Margit Tiit and Liina-Mai Tooding, who have also compiled the Estonian-language part of the ISI multilingual dictionary http://isi.cbs.nl/glossary.htm. There are 9,298 terms in total, in Estonian-English.
