Multidrug-resistant Mycobacterium tuberculosis isolates sequencing

Clofazimine has been repurposed for treating tuberculosis, especially multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB). However, the mechanisms of resistance to clofazimine are poorly understood. Thus, we investigated the clofazimine resistance and genetic mutations of multidrug-resistant Mycobacterium tuberculosis isolates using whole-genome sequencing (WGS) to improve the diagnosis and treatment of MDR-TB.
