Statistical Dataset of Land Economic Survey in Jiangsu Province, China

Large-scale land management is the key to the modernization transformation of Chinese agriculture. Taking Jiangsu province, where the land transfer market is relatively mature, as an example, this dataset is based on the China Land Economic Survey (CLES) database from 2020 to 2022. Following standardized procedures, it processed the missing values caused by omissions and respondents' lack of knowledge, as well as outliers caused by data misentry. After data processing, it formed three datasets and a variable name definition file, including 943 land plots, 5923 households, and 114 villages in Jiangsu province. The data content includes land use, transfer, and information on large-scale operations. The dataset provides reliable empirical evidence for the land transfer and large-scale operation situation in Jiangsu province, and also serves as a reference for government departments to develop reasonable policy interventions.
