Global delay in nascent strand DNA methylation

BrdU labeling combined with genome-wide bisulfite sequencing (Repli-BS-Seq) reveals a global lag in the inheritance of CpG methylation following DNA replication, giving rise to cell-cycle-dependent epigenetic variation. In this study, we pulsed cells with BrdU to label nascent DNA and then performed whole genome bisulfite sequencing on either the immunoprecipitated nascent DNA or bulk DNA.
