The MAX2-KAI2-dependent pathway modulates plant immunity

The Arabidopsis MAX2 protein is a key component in the strigolactone (SL) and karrikin (KAR) signaling pathways and regulates the degradation of SMAX1/SMXLs, plant architecture, and abiotic and biotic stress responses. To reveal the disease resistance mechanism mediated by MAX2, we performed a genome-wide transcriptome analysis using RNA-seq and found 3175 genes that exhibited significant differences between Col-0 and max2 at least at one time point.
