Transcriptomic raw data of Picea

Picea is an important component of the dark coniferous forests in the Northern Hemisphere. Its origin and biogeographic history has drawn the attention of many evolutionary biologists. Previous phylogenetic and biogeographic studies of Picea using cytoplasmic gene fragments and (or) a few nuclear genes made great contributions to our understanding of the evolutionary history of Picea, but phylogenetic relationships of many species of the genus remain unresolved due to the low resolution of a few chloroplast, mitochondrial and nuclear gene markers. Recently, an increasing number of studies have used phylogenomics to reconstruct evolutionary histories of plant groups at different taxonomic levels, such as seed plants and gymnosperms. Therefore, the use of phylogenomics may shed more light on the evolutionary and biogeographic history of Picea.
