资源简介:

Surface temperatures measured in the Large Rotating Annulus (LRA) at the Australian National University. NetCDF files containing FLIR thermal camera images that have been rotated into the frame of reference of the topographic bump. This dataset contains a set of experiments that vary the background zonal wind speed for 2 different radial temperature differences. A second dataset contains a set of experiments that varies the background radial gradient of potential vorticity, beta; it can be found here: 10.5281/zenodo.19447957 The filenames contain the distinguishing information about the experiment configuration: expset_wind_DeltaT_*p*_OmegaA_*p*_OmegaB_*p*.nc This is "experiment set wind" (expset_wind), with a sidewall temperature difference of 2.0 or 8.0 (DeltaT_2p0 or DeltaT_8p0), an annulus rotation rate of 1.9 rad/s (OmegaA_1p9), and a topographic bump rotation rate of 0.01 up to 0.11 rad/s (OmegaB_0p01, etc.).
