Studies have shown that sodium accumulates in the skin of rats fed on an high-salt diet (HSD). Furthermore, sodium accumulation in the skin has been positively correlated with the severity of psoriasis. Thus, we investigated whether a HSD contributes to psoriasis pathogenesis using imiquimod (IMQ)-induced psoriasis-like mouse model.
