The effect of HSD17B1 inactivating mutation in adult mouse ovary gene expression

We compared the mRNA expression in ovaries of female mice with an inactivating Ser143Ala mutation of HSD17B1 (HSD17B1-KI) and wild-type (WT) littermates. We aimed to identify the possible differences in gene expression patterns due to the disruption of estrogen biosynthesis caused by the lack of HSD17B1 activity. Overall design: Ovaries were collected from 6-month-old HSD17B1-KI and WT females during the estrus phase of the estrous cycle.
