资源简介:
The data was collected to explore the experiences of nutritional therapists (NTs) in supporting people with cognitive concerns (*) from midlife. Specifically to
- explore what knowledge, beliefs and experiences NTs draw upon in supporting clients with cognitive concerns
- understand any challenges associated with this therapeutic relationship
- explore how NTs assess and support these clients
*The term 'cognitive concerns' is used to describe people with cognitive impairment of a concern about developing it.
The study is an exploratory qualitative study, with no pre-conceived hypothesis, using individual semi-structured interviews to collect data. An interpretivist approach sees the researcher and participant co-construct the participants’ experiences to help inform clinical practice and further research. Ethical approval was granted by the researcher’s supervisor in line with the University of Worcester’s Ethics Policy.
Data files are the coded interview transcripts, coded data extracts and a summary of themes, sub-themes and codes.
The 'Results' file is extracted from the MSc dissertation for which the study was conducted.
The 'European Journal of Integrative Medicine submission' folder contains the 'revised themes, subthemes& codes' and 'revised coded extracts' files which have been edited for the journal article
