SDG 12.4.2 Proportion of hazardous waste treated or disposed

This dataset reports the proportion of hazardous waste treated or disposed in Qatar. Under the official methodology, the numerator is hazardous waste treated in the country plus hazardous waste exported for treatment minus hazardous waste imported for treatment. The denominator is total hazardous waste generated during the reporting year, and the result is multiplied by 100. Treatment covers recovery and disposal operations such as recycling, incineration with or without energy recovery, landfilling and other treatment or disposal methods. A published value above 100 means that the reported treated or disposed quantity was greater than the reported generated quantity for that year. Such values are valid numerical observations in the uploaded country data and have been retained exactly; they have not been capped at 100. The dataset covers the period from 2006 to 2023.
