Nutrient and Multiparameter Chemistry Data from Ecuadorian Hydroelectric Reservoirs

This dataset contains the chemical and physicochemical properties of sediment and water samples collected from the Guangopolo and Cumbayá hydroelectric reservoirs in Ecuador. The parameters include concentrations of inorganic nutrients such as ammonium, nitrate, nitrite, and phosphate, as well as in situ multiparameter measurements, including dissolved oxygen, electrical conductivity, total suspended matter (TSM), pH, specific conductivity (SPC), and temperature. This data supports assessments of nutrient transport, water quality, and sediment behavior in Andean-Amazon reservoir systems within the context of circular economy frameworks. Special thanks to Empresa Electrica Quito, which allowed sampling to be carried out in the Cumbayá and Guangopolo reservoirs under Interinstitutional Cooperation Agreement No. CONV-SG-011-2024.
