This dataset provides hourly link-level traffic volume and emission estimates for eight vehicle classes across the road network of Hong Kong. It is designed to support research on traffic dynamics, vehicle emissions, environmental exposure, and transport-related inequities at fine spatial and temporal scales. For each road link and hour, the dataset reports estimated traffic volumes by vehicle class together with the corresponding emissions. The data capture intra-day variation in traffic activity and pollutant generation, enabling analyses of when and where different vehicle types contribute most to urban emission burdens. The eight vehicle classes represent the major on-road vehicle categories in Hong Kong, allowing users to distinguish the emission contributions of private vehicles, taxis, buses, goods vehicles, and other fleet types. By combining high-resolution traffic estimates with emission calculations at the road-link and hourly level, the dataset supports applications such as near-road pollution assessment, vehicle-class contribution analysis, temporal emission profiling, hotspot identification, and environmental justice studies.
