This dataset is a crowdsourced collection of rural water points (e.g., wells, springs, tapstands) in Rwanda (RWA) from the Water Point Data Exchange (WPdx) platform. The data is contributed by governments, NGOs, and researchers, cleaned and harmonized using the WPdx Data Standard to create a robust analysis-ready dataset. It includes variables such as geographic coordinates, water point status, water source type, installation year, and demographic data, split into training (4,892 rows) and test (1,223 rows) sets, covering the geographic scope of Rwanda. The dataset is used for analyzing rural basic water service access, prioritizing water point repairs, identifying service gaps, and recommending new constructions.
