Few rare risk variants have been identified for prostate cancer despite evidence they contribute significantly to risk. A predicted splice variant in EZH2 was identified in our Tasmanian prostate cancer resource and found to be significantly associated with prostate cancer risk, with evidence of perturbation of EZH2 function in the tumours of variant carriers.
