Genome sequencing and assembly of organisms were isolated from root nodules collected from alder trees in NH. The purpose of this project was to isolate and identify novel Frankia and non Frankia actinobacteria from alder root nodules. Alders can grow in harsh environments and we are investigating how the nodule microbiome aids this process.
