Staphylococcus aureus has an extraordinary ability to cope with a wide range of osmotic stresses.However, the molecular mechanisms underlying their salt tolerance have not been systematically and comprehensively investigated.In this study, we performed a comprehensive genomic, transcriptomic, and metabolomic analysis of the underlying mechanisms of gradient salinity stress adaptation in S. aureus ZS-01.The relationships among SNPs, genes, and metabolites were revealed, thereby providing new insights into preventive and therapeutic strategies for S. aureus.
