Bulk RNA-seq analysis of skin tissues from an acne mouse model topically treated with long-chain saturated fatty acids

Samples were obtained from an acne mouse model in which ethyl palmitate (C16:0), prepared as a 5% (w/w) solution in ethanol, was topically applied to the ears of 7-week-old female C57BL/6J mice, with ethanol serving as the control. For comparison, ethyl stearate (C18:0) was also applied to examine differences among fatty acids. Ear tissues were harvested 6 hours after application and subjected to bulk RNA-seq using the Illumina NovaSeq 6000 platform.
