Trends in Antibiotic Resistance of Key Pathogens in India (2017–2020): Analysis Using WHO Global AMR Data
收藏资源简介:
This dataset and accompanying manuscript provide a detailed analysis of antimicrobial resistance trends in India for three key bacterial pathogens: Escherichia coli, Salmonella, and Staphylococcus aureus, using publicly available data from the World Health Organization (WHO) GLASS database. The study focuses on resistance patterns to commonly used antibiotics: Ceftriaxone, Ciprofloxacin, and Meticillin. The dataset includes isolate counts, interpretable antimicrobial susceptibility tests, resistant isolate numbers, and percent resistance values for the years 2017–2020. The manuscript presents a comprehensive review of trends in antimicrobial resistance over time, supported by line charts illustrating resistance patterns for each pathogen-antibiotic combination. The dataset is provided in structured tables, allowing reproducibility and further analysis. This work supports ongoing research in antimicrobial resistance surveillance and can be used for public health policy planning, epidemiological studies, and comparison with global trends. All data were obtained from publicly available sources, and no confidential or personal information was used. The manuscript adheres to FAIR data principles and open-access guidelines.
