Sequence and variation of Danio rerio strain NHGRI-1. Danio rerio strain:NHGRI-1

Intrastrain nucleotide variation complicates molecular and genetic studies in zebrafish. To address this, we bred NHGRI-1, a healthy, fecund strain that has been sequenced to a depth of ~50x. This facilitated the identification of variants within the strain, as well as indicating which regions of the genome are invariant with respect to the zebrafish reference sequence.
