Approved Wind Turbines

This dataset shows points relating to approved planning applications for Wind farms/Turbines. In the case of applications for wind farms, a point is shown for each turbine location. The data shows information on blade heights and output in kW and indicates whether the turbines have been erected or not. This was added to ODP on 22/07/2026 This was last reviewed on 19/06/2026 This is regularly refreshed: The data is refreshed quarterly when resources allow. Additional Info: The data is updated by reviewing the Planning Applications System (Uniform) and by checking consultations from the Scottish Government’s Energy Consents Unit. Aerial images are reviewed to ascertain whether the turbines have been erected or not.
