Gimli is a character in J. R. R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings. A descendant of Durin the Deathless, the father of the first house of dwarven people, Gimli came from long line of elite dwarven families. He was the only dwarf to join the Fellowship of the Ring and fought bravely alongside them all.
