Data - Morphology Development of Vaterite Hierarchical Structures

Coherent X-ray diffraction imaging (CXDI), combined with wide-angle X-ray diffraction, was used to resolve the internal architecture and crystallographic orientation of vaterite particles. The analyses revealed that spherulitic seeds are composed of biaxially oriented crystallites, and subsequent growth layers generally maintain this arrangement, showing that particle morphology is closely linked to underlying crystal texture.
