资源简介:
The ability to develop resistance against antibiotics is a natural process of bacteria evolution. However, the rate at which they become resistant due to the wide and inappropriate use of antibiotics, is concerning. This poses health risks as bacteria present in drinking water can become resistant and therefore untreatable. The antibiotic resistant bacteria were isolated from drinking water in the Dr Kenneth Kaunda district municipality (part of 2016 study) of two drinking water production facilities in the North-West Province. Samples were collected before, during and after water treatment.
