资源简介:
This study investigates the gaps in accounting education for female students in public universities in Saudi Arabia, taking into account industry expectations, the Saudi Vision 2030 agenda, and the perspectives of accounting educators, students, and industry bodies. Using a mixed methods approach, the study conducted interviews with accounting educators, NCAAA and SOCPA members, and surveyed female accounting students. The findings highlight challenges in teaching practices, such as limited access to appropriate learning materials, rigid practices influenced by workplace culture, gender biases, and insufficient industry engagement. Recommendations for improvement include introducing curriculum flexibility, increasing industry involvement, granting more decision-making freedom to female educators, and fostering collaboration among stakeholders. The study underscores the significance of accounting education in preparing female students for real-world accounting tasks and aligning with the goals of the Saudi Vision 2030.
