This series contains copies of outward letters of the Shire of Doncaster 1890 - 1926, and the Shire of Doncaster and Templestowe 1926 - 1945. The Shires of Templestowe and Doncaster merged in 1915 and the municipality was called the Shire of Doncaster until 1926. Related records can be found in letter books of the Shire of Templestowe, which contain some outward correspondence of the Shire of Doncaster for several years after the amalgamation.
