Listeria monocytogenes from milk sources

In recent years, milk contamination by Listeria monocytogenes has been frequently reported. Its high pathogenicity and increasing levels of drug resistance pose a huge threat to public health. However, we don't know much about the potential virulence and resistance potential of Listeria monocytogenes. This study aimed to evaluate the virulence characteristics and drug resistance levels of Listeria monocytogenes from Yunnan Province. The resistance of Milk source Listeria monocytogenes isolated from different regions of Yunnan Province was tested and PFGE analysis was performed to analyze the drug resistance phenotype and genetic similarity of the strains, and through WGS to assess its virulence and resistance levels.
