Microbiome in mouse gut affected by house dust mite allergy and fructo-oligosaccharides in diet

The goal is to assess the impact of enriching the diet of mice with different doses of fructo-oligosaccharides on house dust mite-allergic BALB/c mouse gut microbiome composition. Mice were fed a diet containing either 0%, 1%, 2.5%, 5% or 10% FOS, and were later also exposed to house dust mite, leading to house dust mite allergy (type 2 inflammation). Fecal pellets were collected at the end of the study to assess difference in microbiota between the groups.
