Here, to decipher the role of histone variant macroH2A (mH2A) during the reprogramming process we performed chromatin immunoprecipitation followed by high-throughput DNA sequencing (Chip-Seq). So, Chip-Seq data of mH2A were generated from cultures of Human Fibroblasts and Embryonic Stem Cells of the Hues cell line. These data were compared with the respective Chip-Seq data coming from cultures of Mouse Embryonic Stem Cells and Mouse Embryonic Fibroblasts of our Lab. Additionally, in order to determine whether mH2A is associated with the repressive or the active state of the genes, transcriptomic comparisons were performed. Actually, the publicly available RNA-Seq data of the aforementioned human cell lines were compared with the RNA-Seq data of the respective murine cell lines of our lab.
