Hand eczema and changes in the skin microbiome after two weeks of topical corticosteroid treatment

Analysis of skin swabs collected from adult patients (N=35) with hand eczema (HE) in Denmark. Samples were collected from lesional and nonlesional skin of the hand before (visit 1) and after (visit 2) two weeks of topical corticosteroid (TCS) treatment. Amplicon sequencing of the the tuf gene were performed in order to investigate treatment related changes in the cutanous staphyphylococcal communities respectively. NB, sequencing of the V3V4 region of the 16SrRNA gene was also performed , see PRJEB75532
