*Modern Tibetan Comparative Dictionary* is a Chinese–Tibetan bilingual dictionary containing nearly 40,000 modern commonly used and emerging terms. The dictionary was compiled by more than 40 experts in Tibetan and Chinese linguistics from multiple higher-education institutions across the five Tibetan-inhabited regions of China, including Xizang University, Northwest Minzu University in Gansu, Qinghai Normal University, and Southwest Minzu University in Sichuan. The compilation process spanned more than 20 years. During this period, over 50 specialized seminars were held to repeatedly refine, expand, proofread, and improve the entries. The dictionary includes bilingual Tibetan–Chinese entries, Tibetan explanations, and usage examples, making it both comprehensive and practical, with significant value for language learning, research, and reference. After expert review and approval, the dictionary was published by Sichuan Ethnic Publishing House. Due to its professional and authoritative content, *Modern Tibetan Comparative Dictionary* has gained wide recognition among specialists and general readers in Tibetan-speaking regions. It is regarded as one of the most important reference tools for Tibetan–Chinese language learning, research, and communication today.
