Potato tuber wound healing time course

Potato tubers were wounded and allowed to wound heal in a sterile environment. Transcript accumulation over the first three days post wounding was measured using an RNAseq approach. The primary motive for the study was to gain a better understanding of the initial processes involved in suberin deposition. Suberin is involved in protection against water loss and pathogen infection. It has an impact on the storability of tubers.
