Diaphorina citri plays an important role in transmission of vector borne disease, HLB in Citrus trees. Currently, efforts to tackle D. citri vectored disease are based on insecticide based interventions. Widespread and intensive insecticide usage has resulted in increased resistance in D. citri vector. Increase evidence suggests that insecticide resistance could effects various biological traits, including size, longevity, mortality, behavior and metabolism of D. citri. However, the relevant mechanisms of insecticide resistance remain unclear. In this study, the transcriptome profile of thiamethoxam resistance D. citri was explored to identify candidate genes associated with insecticide resistance and relevant physiological effects.
