The dataset includes information about the 542 municipalities of the Valencian region of Spain used in the paper:
Alamá-Sabater, L., Márquez, M.A. and Tortosa-Ausina, E. (2022): "Spatio-sectoral heterogeneity and population–employment dynamics: some implications for territorial development", Regional Studies, P. 1-24. DOI: 10.1080/00343404.2022.208872
Population variables were provided by both the Spanish National Statistics Institute (Instituto Nacional de Estadística – INE) and the Valencian Statistics Institute (Portal Estadístic de la Generalitat Valenciana). Employment data were obtained from the employment office of the Valencia Region. The period of analysis is 2010–2018.
