Image Collection - RV Investigator Voyage IN2024_V02 - Monitoring basketwork eels (Diastobranchus capensis) on Patience seamount

This data set contains the imagery collected on the Marine National Facility (MNF) RV Investigator voyage IN2024_V02, titled ‘SOTS: Southern Ocean Time Series automated moorings for climate and carbon cycle studies southwest of Tasmania’. The voyage took place between 31/03/2024 and 19/04/2024 (AEST), departing from Hobart and ending in Hobart. Imagery and acoustics were collected as part of a piggy-back project at Patience seamount to contribute data to CSIRO Project OD-227021 Monitoring KNVs in marine parks using acoustic and optical methods ('basketwork eel').\n\nInstrument(s) used to collect this data:\nMNF Deep Towed camera (DTC)\n\nDatasets include: \nVideo (oblique forward view)\nStereo stills (oblique forward view)\nNavigational data\nLineage: The imagery was collected using the MNF Deep Towed camera (DTC) system that simultaneously collects oblique forward-facing video (camera: SVY) and stereo still images (cameras SCP (port) and SCS (starboard)). Calibration of the stereo cameras was done in SEAGIS software and can be made available upon request.\n\nThe imagery was processed with Marimba v1.0.0. [https://github.com/csiro-fair/marimba]\n\nFile naming convention: CameraPlatform_Camera_Survey_Deployment_YYYYMMDDTHHMMSSZ_image#\nGIS location of the camera system, and depth (as positive 'altitude') was added to the EXIF data of still images. In addition, camera location data at 1-second intervals for video and by image-pair for stills are provided in .csv format.
