Global database with the effect size of many non-native tree species on regulating ecosystem services

This data set is a global compendium of the impacts of non-native trees (NNT; <strong>column G</strong>) on regulating ecosystem services (RES; <strong>column A</strong>), expressed through the effect size (<strong>column BN</strong>). The data were extracted from the global database compiled by Castro-Díez et al. (2019). The data set also includes several functional traits for NNT (<strong>columns J-U</strong>) and native species (<strong>columns Y - AJ</strong>); the human population density with a resolution of 30 km for the localities where each case study was located (<strong>column AQ</strong>); bioclimatic variables (<strong>columns AR - BJ</strong>; follow this link for code meaning: https://www.worldclim.org/data/bioclim.html); the type of biome (<strong>column BK</strong>; 1 = tropical forest; 2 = subtropical forest; 4 = Mediterranean forest; 5 = temperate forest; 6 = temperate grassland/desert; 7 = boreal forest); and the phylogenetic and functional distances for each case study (<strong>columns BL - BM</strong> respectively).
