INTRODUCTION OF THE PS LETTERS BY LENCE VINCENT

The PS Letter: A Call for Ethical Scholarship in the Digital Age Dear American Psychological Association, and all those who follow and support my journey: I write to you today with gratitude, hope, and purpose. My name is Lence Vincent, a student of logic and philosophy, a patriot, and a man of God. My path in life has been guided by two clear callings: to serve in government and to uplift others through philanthropy and education. From my earliest studies to my engagement in community and civic service, I have carried with me the conviction that fairness, transparency, and truth must guide the future of our society. Why I Am Writing We are living in an era where social media, technology, and artificial intelligence are reshaping the way we share knowledge, cite information, and recognize original creators. While APA Style has long been the gold standard for research integrity, the rapid evolution of digital platforms raises new challenges: How do we ensure original creators are recognized when their work is reshared countless times online? How do we preserve intellectual property while still promoting free flow of knowledge? How can future scholars, students, and practitioners cite responsibly in a world driven by Al and social media? My Proposal: A New Framework I am developing a case study and framework designed to strengthen the way we cite social media and digital-first sources. This framework includes: • Naming the original content creator Recording the post title or unique identifier Providing a 20-word descriptive summary of the post Identifying the original platform and any platforms where the post was shared • Adding technical or scholarly notes when context is required This is not only about citation, but also about fairness, equity, and the protection of voices in the digital age. The PS Letters This vision is grounded in a project I have authored called "The PS Letters." The P stands for the Patriot Act The S stands for the Smith-Mundt Act Together, they symbolize the balance between government voice and public discourse. The PS Letters are my effort to build a forward looking framework for Al Ethics and scholarly integrity, ensuring that technology advances while human creators remain recognized and protected. A Call to Action To the APA: I respectfully seek your guidance and support to refine and advance this framework within the scholarly tradition. To my family, friends, and peers: I ask you to join me in conversation, share your perspectives, and help me strengthen this mission. To my followers and supporters: This is a movement larger than myself. Together, we can inspire ethical standards that will shape not only academic research but also the very way our society values truth and originality in the digital age. This is more than a case study. It is an opportunity to build a bridge between scholarship, government, faith, and technology. With your participation, we can ensure that the voices of today are not lost in the algorithms of tomorrow. With respect and gratitude, Thanks in advance, Vincent, Lence レンス Vincent
