Biological review of the 1991 Texas closure

"In 1981, the Gulf of Mexico Shrimp Fishery Management Plan (FMP) was implemented with the primary objective being to increase the yield of brown shrimp harvested from Texas coastal waters. Since then, various aspects of the Texas closure management measure have been analyzed and reported on by scientists at the Southeast Fisheries Science Center (SEFSC).
