Breast Cancer Dynamics in Indonesia: Model Parameters, Assumptions, and Initial Conditions for Modified SEIR Simulation

This dataset contains the complete set of parameters, assumptions, initial conditions, and supporting notes used to develop a modified SEIR model aimed at estimating the burden of breast cancer in Indonesia. The model adapts classical SEIR epidemiological structures by redefining compartments to represent cancer progression states, including Susceptible (S), Preclinical (P), Clinical (C), Treatment (T), Remission (R), and Death (D). The dataset includes: Mathematical parameters (β, γ, δ, α, μ, ρ, θ) derived from national statistics, WHO reports, scientific publications, and logical assumptions where official data are unavailable. Calculation steps referencing incidence rates, mortality rates, remission probabilities, recurrence rates, and treatment transitions. Initial population values for each compartment (S₀, C₀, T₀, R₀, D₀). Notes on limitations regarding Indonesian cancer data availability and harmonization challenges across sources. This dataset supports reproducibility of the simulation presented in the related research manuscript and may be reused for further modelling of cancer epidemiology, health policy planning, and computational experimentation. Dataset is provided in transparent form to improve model verifiability, encourage open scientific collaboration, and strengthen evidence-based cancer surveillance and decision support in Indonesia.
