Using RNA-seq to analyze overexpressed SPATULA (SPT), we identified genes regulated by SPT in flower development. The target genes of SPT are involved in various pathways, including light response, cold response, transmitting tract formation, and hormone signaling (such as auxins and cytokinins). This helps explain the functions of SPT described to date.
