Immunostained fluorescent images of valve interstitial cells seeded on soft and stiff hydrogels

This data repository contains immunostained fluorescent images of porcine valve interstitial cells seeded on soft and stiff hydrogels which promote a quiescent fibroblast and activated myofibroblast phenotype, respectively. In addition, this repository contains immunostained fluorescent images of valve interstitial cells seeded on soft hydrogels and treated with the compound bpV(HOpic) (soft_HOP). Furthermore, immunostained fluorescent images of valve interstitial cells seeded on stiff hydrogels and treated with the compound 5-azacytidine (stiff_AZA) are included. Each subfolder contains three image files: Alexa_488.tiff, Alexa_546.tiff, and DAPI.tff which correspond to alpha-smooth muscle actin, HCS CellMask Orange, and nuclei, respectively. Lastly, we have included cytoplasm and nuclear segmentations as well as manual phenotypic grading of the raw images. Please note that the resolution embedded in the metadata of the .tiff files is incorrect. The resolution of the .tiff images is 0.4928 microns per pixel.
